Katie Sweeney-Amorebieta

APRN, FNP

​​Katie opened Alpine Family Medicine in 2017. Before this she started practicing in Sandpoint as a board-certified family practice provider in 2012, after attending 8 years of college. Katie, as well as multiple family generations before her, were born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. Her focus is not only on the treatment of disease but partnering with her patients actively involving them in decision making that optimizes their overall health, taking a preventative approach to disease management. Katie cares for patients across the lifespan including men, women, and children. She has additional training and experience in women’s healthcare having worked in gynecology in addition to her family practice. She performs a variety of in office procedure specific to family practice as well as women’s health procedures, including implantable birth control and IUD placement. She has additional experience, certification, and training in mental health as well as ADHD evaluation and drug addiction management. Katie believes in partnering with her patients, actively listening and creating a treatment plan that can create the best possible outcome for each person individually. Katie volunteers as a board member for Bonner General Health. 

Colleen Field

APRN, FNP

​​Colleen is a dedicated nurse practitioner with a passion for wellness and patient-centered care. She believes in taking an individualized approach, partnering closely with each patient to understand their unique needs and help them achieve their personal health goals.

With a background in both mental health, and full-spectrum family practice, Colleen brings a well-rounded perspective to care, addressing both physical and emotional well-being. She earned her degree from Gonzaga University and is committed to continuing education and evidence-based practice.

Outside of her professional life, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and son, being outdoors, and quilting. Her personal values of balance and connection strongly influence her approach to care, where she strives to support the overall well-being of every patient she serves.

Anna Mena-Schaures

APRN, FNP

Anna has been with Alpine Family Medicine since 2020. Anna Mena-Schaures is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Sandpoint High School she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Montana State University. Looking for adventure she joined the Air Force for 6 years and provided care for active duty members and their families. She has experience in multiple settings including pediatrics, neonatal ICU, medical surgical and OBGYN clinic. She graduated from Gonzaga University with her Masters of Science degree. Anna practices in family medicine, and loves pediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys life out on the farm, hiking, swimming and traveling with her husband and daughter.
